Francis Takes on the Role of APAC SBU Head

In August this year, Francis Koh was appointed as the APAC SBU Head.
For the first time, someone who is not Japanese has joined our group’s management team, which had previously been composed exclusively of Japanese members. While language differences are certainly a challenge, the more profound impact has been his fresh outlook and the insights he’s brought to the table.

For example, when discussing our key business areas, we often compare ourselves to companies listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. However, Francis made a comment that shifted my mindset, as well as that of the other SBU heads, towards benchmarking against global companies. This left a strong impression on me.

We’re excited about what’s to come with Francis joining the leadership team!

PERSOL Group All Meeting 2024

On October 11th, we held the PERSOL Group All Meeting 2024. Nearly 20,000 employees gathered online, creating a space where not only the management but also employees could reflect together on the values that the PERSOL Group holds dear and the vision we aim to achieve.

This year’s theme was framed as “climbing the mountain” of PERSOL Group’s philosophy. Many employees took the stage during various sessions, and we received numerous comments expressing how this made the company’s mission, guidelines for action, aspirations, and group vision feel more relatable.

I believe it was a moment for each of us to take a step back and reflect on what we as individuals want to achieve at PERSOL, where to start, and whether our current actions align with our goals.

One of the highlights was the presentation and recognition of the PERSOL Group Awards. Bhaskar, the MVP of APAC SBU, showcased an outstanding initiative that left a deep impression on me. His work demonstrated how a single person’s efforts can have a positive impact not only on their own life but also on their family’s education and future.

The thought that connecting someone with a job isn’t just about offering a choice, but can lead to ‘Work and Smile’ for them and their community, really resonated with many of us. I feel this reaffirmed the impact of our work at PERSOL and helped to further instill a strong sense of pride in what we do.

Thank you, Bhaskar, and the entire team, for reminding us of what truly matters.

Promotional campaigns are underway in APAC

A new commercial campaign is being launched in APAC. To realize “Work and Smile,” PERSOL is conveying the importance of providing opportunities for individuals to work authentically and to contribute to society
and the future.

The diverse work of various individuals connects to each person’s unique experience of “Work and Smile.” It’s a wonderful campaign, and I hope it enhances PERSOL’s recognition in the APAC region

Finally, starting in October, 12 PERSOL employees from Japan will go and work to various APAC SBU companies
through the Global Challenge Program. While in APAC, they will have the chance to embrace a global mindset
and offer new insights to everyone. We hope you will extend a warm welcome to them.
